In Memory of my “Dado”

During the invitation song on Easter Sunday, Scott, came forward and confessed his struggles and his decision to committed is life to our Lord and Savior. He asked for my dad to come forward to be with him and he credited his knowledge of Christ to my Dado, Ordis Copeland. He remembered his influence in his life and although that was when he was young he stated Dado as the reason for him coming to the Lord.

It is overwhelming and incredible to know that the earthly life of my Dado, even after his life on earth has ended, continues to tug those who knew him to the Truth. I praise God for allowing us to see Dado’s influence continue here on earth. Scott could live elsewhere, chosen a different church or we (my family) could have moved away or gone to a different church…. Instead, God had His hand in it…. Scott and my family were at the same congregation, at the congregation that knew my Dado as an elderly man. Scott was in tears, and so was daddy and me… the Spirit was at work… in Scott, but also letting us know how powerful He is and how powerful proclaiming the Truth really is… it impacts eternity… and we get to know exactly what part Dado had helping in God’s work.

What impacts will we have once we are gone? It is scary and exciting to think that God will use His children to bring Himself glory even after we are in paradise with Him.
